Meeting and Conference Destinations:
Norfolk

The New Norfolk
Located on the world’s greatest natural harbor is the New Norfolk, an exciting coastal destination for conventions, meetings, exhibits, trade shows and sporting events.

Downtown Norfolk’s waterfront offers a collection of hotels and convention facilities known as the “Waterside Connection,” with the Marriott Waterside Hotel and the Waterside Convention Center serving as the centerpiece.

Within a 10-square block radius, there are more than 1,000 first-class rooms and suites, alongside more than 176,000 square feet of exhibit and meeting space including 55 flexible meeting rooms with the latest state-of-the-art presentation capabilities.

The nearby Norfolk Scope Arena offers more than 55,000 square feet of meeting space, including a flexible main arena, modular exhibit halls and meeting rooms. The dome-like structure with flying buttresses dominates the Scope Plaza, which also houses Chrysler Hall Theater with a 2,503-seat auditorium and 14 meeting rooms.

Norfolk’s new Ted Constant Convocation Center features an arena that seats up to 10,000 for commencements and concerts. A 9,100-square-foot multipurpose room can be divided into five smaller-spaced environments to accommodate meetings, dinners and receptions.

In addition, Norfolk offers a variety of unique meeting venues such as harbor cruises, the Chrysler Museum of Art, Nauticus - The National Maritime Center and Norfolk Botanical Garden.

The Norfolk Waterside Marriott is connected on three levels to the Waterside Conference Center, which provides 60,000 square feet of conference space in 40 meeting rooms with a banquet capacity of 1,400 people and a meeting capacity of 2,000.
The high-rise hotel features 405 guest rooms, including eight suites. As part of an $8 million property refurbishment, the Marriott recently completed guest room renovations, including the addition of fresh carpet, granite countertops and marble floors in the bathrooms, new mattresses and duvet covers, as well as high-speed Internet access.

The Marriott’s Dining Room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in an elegant atmosphere, while the hotel’s restaurant offers a more casual place to enjoy meals, watch sports and play billiards. A kosher kitchen serves up kosher meals and the Marriott’s Piano Lounge offers cocktails and mellow music. Waterfront views, a great downtown location, a heated pool and a fitness center are all part of why the Marriott is a great place to host meetings.
