Meetings With Southern Hospitality
Danville is located in south central Virginia on the Virginia and North Carolina border. The Dan River flows through the heart of Danville on its path from the Blue Ridge mountains to the Kerr Reservoir just 55 miles east of the city. Danville is 180 miles from the East Coast and just 50 miles east of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Danville is within a days drive to more than two thirds of the U.S. population.

At approximately 500 feet above sea level and protected from harsh weather extremes by the nearby mountains, Danville enjoys four distinct seasons.

The downtown central business district has ample restaurants and shopping, plus financial, professional, and government services. The Amtrak train station, farmers market, science museum, auctioneer’s park, public library, Crossing of the Dan nature trail, Danville Chamber of Commerce, and a European flavor coffee shop are all downtown.

The area also offers biking/hiking trails, golf and public parks for the outdoor enthusiasts and a host of museums and historical sites.
