The Chesapeake Conference Center is a 51,000-square-foot facility with more than 23,000 square feet of meeting space and banquet rooms designed to accommodate functions with 50 to 2,500 people. The conference center welcomes corporate training sessions, association meetings and conventions, trade shows, annual meetings and award programs. About 350 free, on-site parking spaces are available at the center.

AIRPORTS
Norfolk International Airport
Norfolk International Airport is served by 18 airlines, including: American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, Southwest, US Airways, United Express and Independence Airlines. The airport handles more than 200 daily flights, including non-stop flights to 22 U.S. cities with connecting flights to all major U.S. cities.

Long-term parking: $1 per hour; $7 per day.

The newly expanded and opened terminal includes a nine-story parking garage and is part of the airport’s $133 million capital-improvement campaign.

Newport News / Williamsburg International Airport
Newport News / Williamsburg International Airport provides direct flights to Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, New York (LaGuardia), Orlando and Philadelphia, with connecting flights to all major U.S. cities. Major carriers include Air Tran Airways, ASA The Delta Connection, US Airways and US Airways Express.

ATTRACTIONS
Great Dismal Swamp
This 107,000-acre national wildlife refuge surrounds massive Lake Drummond, which connects to the Intracoastal Waterway via several creeks and canals. It is a popular spot for yachting, fishing, hiking and horseback riding.

Northwest River Park
A natural recreation area that offers boating, canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, fishing and a fragrance garden, this park covers 763 acres. Of special note for meetings, is its popular Ropes and Initiatives course for group team building.

Bergey’s Dairy Farm
Enjoy homemade ice cream at this working dairy farm founded by Titus Bergey in 1931. Visitors can purchase items produced on the farm including fresh milk in glass bottles, ice cream, and butter. Bergey’s also offers horse-drawn carriage rides and special tours by appointment.

Chesapeake Arboretum
Trails meander through a mature hardwood forest with a variety of native plants and trees in this 48-acre arboretum, which promotes horticulture and environmental awareness. The arboretum is headquartered in an 18th century farmhouse with a nearby fragrance garden and an antique rose garden.
