Carilion Labs, a Roanoke-based provider of medical
lab services, bought Presbyterian Reference Laboratory
of Charlotte, N.C., from Presbyterian Healthcare as the
first step in a planned development of a network of laboratory
facilities in the Eastern U.S. Presbyterian Healthcare
will retain a minority stake in the operation. (News

Dominion Enterprises, an information services
company headquartered in Norfolk, acquired eNeighborhoods,
a Boca Raton, Fla.-based provider of real estate data
services and technology solutions. The deal expands Dominion
presence in the real estate information services sector. (PRNewswire)
New River Pharmaceuticals Inc.,
a Radford-based drug developer, agreed to be bought
by Shire plc which will pay $64 per share in cash for
New River’s
common stock, a total of approximately $2.6 billion.
Shire will take control of New River’s Vyvanse
product, plus other compounds still under development. (Virginia

TML Enterprises of Manassas, an office technology
services provider, was bought by Global Imaging Systems
of Tampa, Fla. TML, which has annual revenues of $10
million, will operate as part of ESI, a Global Imaging
company which provides office technology hardware and
