Arrow Truck Sales, a seller of heavy- and medium-duty
pre-owned trucks, plans to open a reconditioning operation
in Floyd County,
creating 25 jobs. The facility will be used to disassemble
trucks, recondition and distribute the parts. (News

Gildan Activewear, a Montreal-based textile
company, will open a distribution center in Henry County. Having
acquired Kentucky Derby Hosiery, Gildan will close
Kentucky Derby’s distribution centers in Danville
and Mount
Airy, N.C., and consolidate those operations outside Martinsville.
Employees in Danville
and Mount Airy will be offered jobs at the new operation, into which Gildan

Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA, producer of brand-name
coffees, plans to move most of its U.S. distribution to Portsmouth,
creating 100 to 160 jobs. The company agreed to a long-term
lease in the former Dan River Inc. warehouse near Interstate
