name the building at the school’s new business school
for Alan B. Miller, co-founder, chairman and president
of Universal Health Services Inc., a hospital-management
firm with $4.5 billion in revenues. Miller, who lives
in Philadelphia, is a 1958 graduate

Shenandoah University namedits
future $12 million facility for its business school
Halpin-Harrison Hall. The building will be named after
Washington, D.C.-area developer Gerald Halpin, who
donated $3 million for the project, and Stan and Doris
Harrison, who served on the university’s Board of Trustees. (The Winchester

The University of Virginia Medical Center and Winchester
Medical Center were listed among the country’s
top 100 hospitals in Solucient’s annual ranking of America’s
top hospitals. UVa was among 15 teaching hospitals

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership was
awarded the Gold Award from Business Facilities magazine
for the Philip Morris USA Research and Technology Center
