Coors Brewing Co., a Colorado-based brewer,
plans to invest $24 million in an expansion of its
Rockingham County facility. The company announced in
August 2004 its intention to open an East Coast brewery
at Rockingham. The latest project will add a high-speed
production line and create eight positions. (Press

Hirschler Fleischer, a Richmond-based law firm,
formed HF Consulting LLC, a consulting firm
to assist clients in dealings with state and local
governments, lobbying and economic development efforts.
Seth Ginther and Marshall Cook, principals in the firm,
will lead the consulting firm. Both have previously
held positions in the Virginia attorney general’s office. (Press

Intermet Corp., a Troy,
Mich. producer of cast-metal auto parts, will spend
$14.3 million to expand its
New River Foundry in Radford. The project will consolidate
operations at other Interrnet locations and create
175 jobs at Radford’s foundry over the next 30 months. (Press

Polymer Solutions Inc., an independent laboratory
based in Montgomery County, plans to invest $2.2 million
in the construction of a multistory, 20,000-square-foot
lab facility and corporate headquarters in Blacksburg
Industrial Park. After completion, at least six new

Woods Rogers PLC, a Roanoke-based law firm,
launched a Richmond consultancy, Wood Rogers Strategic
Solutions, to provide consultation and advisory
services for clients dealing with regulatory and legislative
environments. Carthan F. Currin III, former executive
director of the Virginia Tobacco Commission, will lead
