Old Dominion University’s Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology
promotes the advancement of engineering knowledge by providing a supportive learning
environment to students, faculty, industry, government and military agencies.
Students are encouraged to learn with hands-on applications by working at the
College’s many research centers such as the Langley Full-Scale Wind Tunnel,
or the Frank Reidy Research Center for Bioelectrics.
Students receive traditional laboratory and classroom instruction and partake
in industry projects for organizations, such as, NASA Langley and Northrop Grumman
Newport News. The College’s Career Advantage Program provides students
with career-related information and practical experience through cooperative
education and internship programs. The College is also home to the largest distance-learning
graduate engineering program in the nation.
The Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology is based on the main campus
of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, in close proximity to the popular Virginia
Beach oceanfront and historic Colonial Williamsburg. |
