Atlanta-based telecommunications company that provides
wireless phone service to Northern Virginia, announced
plans to expand its service region across Virginia,
including the metropolitan areas of Norfolk, Richmond

a Richmond-based law firm, added 20 lawyers from Shaw
Pittman. The group, headed by Walter J. Andrews and
Lon A Berk, will focus on a national practice of insurance
coverage litigation. The group will be based in the

of over 200 attorneys in the Northern Virginia/Washington

coverage areas in the U.S., Europe and Asia. More
than 1,300 new wireless-access hot spots will be established

a producer of side-impact airbags and polyester and
nylon webbing products for automotive and defense uses,
will invest $20 million to expand its operations in
Southampton and Mecklenburg counties, creating 138
jobs. Virginia competed with North Carolina for the

provider of fiber reinforced plastics and polymer concrete
products, will invest $4 million at its manufacturing
facility near Abingdon, creating 65 jobs. The company
