BAE Systems Inc., an
international supplier of technical services to the
intelligence and defense
sectors, will open a new information technology work
center in Fairfax County in support of BAE’s growing
federal business. The $25 million investment is expected
to mean 700 new jobs over the next three years. BAE
operates 30 facilities in Virginia, plus several dozen

KCG Call Centers LLC will open a customer service
call center in Lee County in a $1 million investment
expected to create 100 jobs. Virginia competed with
Flordia and Montana for the investment. (Press release)
Home Care Delivered Inc., a Richmond-based
home health care products company, will open a business
development center in Mecklenburg County. The $1.1
million investment is expected to create 147 new jobs
within 30 months. Virginia competed with Kentucky for

Pearson Government Solutions Inc. will invest
$5.6 million to open a government services call center
in Chesterfield County to support the 1-800-Medicare
Helpline. About 250 jobs will be created in the short
term with as many 800 jobs possible during peak operation.
Virginia competed with Maryland and Pennsylvania for

Sterling Gelatin America Inc. will invest $2.5
million in a distribution warehouse in Prince George
County to house pharmaceutical gels. About 20 jobs
will be created at the facility. Sterling is a unit
of Sterling Biotech Ltd. of Mumbai, India. (Press

Techead Inc., a Richmond-based technology training
company, created a new application development company, Tulip
Solutions LLC to expand Techead’s application development
efforts. The company’s new product, TULIP (Time User
Log In Program) is a Web-based tool for tracking time
