Buchanan Partners, a Gaithersburg, Md. real estate investment company, sold its Loudoun County office complex Lakeside @ Loudoun Tech to Tishman Speyer of New York for $88.5 million. The complex consists of three four-story building, totaling 305,000 square feet of space, fronting a nine-acre lake. (Press release)

Commonwealth Opportunity Fund paid $19 million to Cousins Properties for the Hanover Square South Shopping Center and 10 acres of adjacent land in Mechanicsville. (Press release)

Crosland Rutland LLC bought 20.6 acres of land near the intersection of US 301 and Atlee Road from TL Hunt for $2.1 million. Crosland plans to develop a shopping center at the site. (Press release)

Dennis Foods Inc., a distributor of snack foods and beverages in Virginia and North Carolina, plans to buy five acres of land in the Suffolk Industrial Park and invest $1.5 million to build a 22,000-square-foot regional operations center. (The Virginian-Pilot)

Hayes, Seay, Mattern & Mattern, a Roanoke-based architectural and engineering design firm, leased 8,300 square feet of office space in the Ocean Place office building in Virginia Beach. (Press release)

Liberty Property Trust, a Pennsylvania-based real estate investment trust, announced four lease signings at the Fairgrounds Distribution Center in Richmond totaling 246,000 square feet, led by a long-term lease on 90,000 square feet by Terry’s Tire Town. (Press release)

The Trust for Public Land bought 438 acres on the York River in Gloucester County as the site for a future state park. The trust will transfer title to the land to Virginia for $3.9 million in reimbursement from bond funds approved by voters for the acquisition of new park land. (Press release)
