chemicals company, purchased the refinery catalysts
business of the Dutch company Akzo Nobel NV.
The transaction, about $753 million in cash,
expands the range of products the company can
offer the oil industry. A 1994 spin-off from
Ethyl Corp., Albemarle has made five major acquisitions
