WorldCom, an Ashburn-based
telecommunications company, emerged from Chapter
11 bankruptcy reorganization—triggered by
$35 billion in debt— and officially became
MCI Inc. The company has done business under MCI

Washington Post)Ingenco Wholesale Power,
a subsidiary of Richmond’s Industrial Power
Generating Corp., received approval from the State
Corporation Commission to build a 16-megawatt
power plant at the Shoosmith Brothers Landfill
in Chesterfield County. The plant, which will
run off landfill gas, plans to begin operations
