Circuit City, a Richmond-based
retailer of consumer electronic products, is testing
a service, Trading Circuit, that allows customers
to drop off items to be sold on the eBay.com auction
site. Trading Circuit locations handle the transaction,
including posting, communication, and shipping,
taking a 35 percent share of the first $500 of
the item’s selling price and 25 percent
thereafter. The first of 10 initial test sites

Versar, a professional services firm
in the homeland defense sector headquartered
in Springfield, announced its DTAPS suit, a
protective coverall suit with reusable chemical
splash hood, boots and breathing system, became
the industry’s first protective suit to
be certified by the Safety Equipment Institute
to meet National Fire Protective Association
1994, Class 2 standards. The DTAPS suit consists
of five fully-integrated and modular protective
systems for military and civilian first responders.
