A ‘natural’ place to meet
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on Interstate 81,
the Roanoke Valley is the “Natural Place to Meet.”
AAA rates the area’s Blue Ridge Parkway as one
of the most scenic highways in America. The region offers
a mix of natural beauty and historic sites such as the
Booker T. Washington National Monument and Thomas Jefferson’s
former retreat, Poplar Forest. The region’s outdoor
attractions include the Natural Bridge Nature Park and
the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests.
The area’s beauty coupled with affordable guest
rooms and more than 200,000 square feet of flexible
meeting space make the Roanoke Valley a premier site
for professional associations, motorcycle rallies, and
social, educational, fraternal and sports groups. The
area has hosted the Gold Wing Road Riders’ State
Annual Rally for 15 years. In October, the Roanoke Valley
will host the US Challenge, a two-day (and night) outdoor
competition among businesses that is designed to strengthen
team building.
