Jumping off point for Hampton Roads
Hampton Roads region and provides a perfect jump-off point to explore the region. Art enthusiasts can visit working studios, galleries and art shops at the Portlock Galleries at Sono, and history buffs can choose from many historic attractions, including Civil War trails and Cuffeytown Longridge, the oldest continuous community of free-born African-Americans in the nation. The Chesapeake Conference Center offers 22,700 square feet of flexible meeting space in one of the city’s hot spots, where the area’s best shopping and dining are located within a mile. The conference center includes nine meeting rooms and an experienced sales staff to help run the perfect event for an affordable price. The conference center also provides a full-scale catering service for any event, ranging from a large, elegant banquet or large party to an intimate gathering. The conference center can hold exhibitions that include up to 200 booths and offers the latest audiovisual and lighting systems. The conference center has 340 free parking spaces on site and is within walking distance of 650 reasonably priced hotel rooms.

The center’s professional sales staff is prepared to ensure the meeting or conference runs smoothly. They act as liaisons for audiovisual equipment and catering departments. The staff can handle transportation, registration, accommodations and provide information on services such as promotional materials, electronics, decorations and rentals.
